Switch eShop Spotlight: 9-20-19

Every week Nintendo releases a ton of great games, sometimes more than we have time to dig through. When it comes to what came out on the Nintendo Switch eShop yesterday and beyond, you can find out today on the End Game Bonus Switch eShop Spotlight! Make sure to check back every Friday for our corny, totally fake awards to some of our most anticipated Switch titles this week.

Least Likely to Have a Title award: Untitled Goose Game

Untitled Goose Game, Panic

Get ready for the most charming simulation game this week, Untitled Goose Game. Play as a loud, mischievous goose and make everyone’s life a living nightmare. Explore town, honk at people, throw food in the river…whatever you find to be the most inconvenient for your human neighbors. Did I mention there’s a dedicated honk button?

We Must Protect the Doggo award: Overland

Overland, Finji

Prepare for a post-apocalyptic turn-based strategy game out on Switch this week. Players will need to be prepared to make difficult decisions and manage their inventory carefully. Deciding whether to retreat or attempt to fight the hordes of creatures could determine whether your team (and your dog) lives or dies. Overland is a change of pace from Finji’s previous works (Canabalt, Night in the Woods) but we’re excited to add this to our libraries.

Most Likely to Get Stuck in Your Head award: Sayonara Wild Hearts

Sayonara Wild Hearts, Annapurna Interactive

Get your toes tapping and turn up the volume, Sayonara Wild Hearts describes itself as a pop album video game and we can’t agree more. Dance, dodge, slash, drive, skate, and so much more as you embark through a crazy new world. In this action arcade title, players will explore scenic cityscapes in this fast paced and artful new title. Of course, a self described pop album video game would be amiss without a custom soundtrack to get stuck in our heads.

But wait, there’s more!

For the full list of games, check out the Nintendo Switch eShop for tons of exciting titles. Let us know what games we missed. Which of these new titles are you most excited to play this weekend?
